Organisers have warned competitors in an email tonight that it is unlikely that the third round of the national series will go ahead on the planned dates of July 23-25.

Victorian ‘Red Zone’ border restrictions means competitors from NSW are shut out.

A final decision will be confirmed on Friday, a week out from the scheduled event.

The race will go ahead as a round of the Victorian Formula Ford championship, with promoters in discussions to offer refunds for NSW entrants.

Formula Ford Australia have committed to organising a further event later in the year to guarantee a full seven rounds for the 2021 championship.
