Gabriele Bortoleto tops final day of Formula 3 test

Gabriele Bortoleto was fastest on the final day of FIA Formula 3 testing in a final four-hour session.

Grégoire Saucy was the first to set a representative lap time after running at or near the top of the leader board for most of the three-day test.

Bortoleto was next to take the top sport and held onto his lap of 1:47.417 as teams focused on race simulation runs in the final session before the season begins.

Gabriele Minì was second-fastest by the end of the session, just four-hundredths of a second behind Bortoleto, with Saucy third-fastest.

Aussie rookie Hugh Barter was fifth-fastest, with Christian Mansell 20th and Tommy Smith 29th.

The 2023 FIA Formula 3 season begins 3-5 March at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
