UAE F4 champion Charlie Wurz enters Formula Regional Oceania
United Arab Emirates Formula 4 champion Charlie Wurz will contest the Toyota Formula Regional Oceania series.
Son of Former F1 racer Alexander Wurz, Charlie took out the 2022 UAE F4 title before finishing fourth in the Italian F4 championship.
The Austrian driver will join M2 Competition alongside Kiwi Callum Hedge and Aussie Ryder Quinn.
“Ever since I can remember my dad has recounted stories of his time racing in New Zealand, how it was such an important step in his career and how much he loved it," said Wurz.
“I’m so excited to be able to start 2023 with this experience and a big thank you to TOYOTA GAZOO Racing and M2 for making it happen.”
The five-round 2023 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania championship begins 13-15 January at Highlands Motorsport Park.
