Christian Mansell second in Pau opener
Christian Mansell was second in the opening race of the Euroformula Open weekend at Pau as Oliver Goethe took a commanding victory.

Mansell started third and had a fantastic start, passing Frederick Lubin who fell down through the pack.
Goethe built a hefty lead and survived two safety car restarts as Mansell had to hold off the consistent attempts of Vladislav Lomko in third.
The Danish driver took the chequered flag with a 3.9 second lead ahead of Mansell and Lomko.

Goethe holds the lead of the championship on 82 points, ahead of Mansell on 62 points.
The Euroformula Open field will return at 10.50pm Sunday (AEDT) for the 79th Grand Prix de Pau.
