Australian Grand Prix welcomes more than 50,000 fans on opening day

The Australian Grand Prix is well and truly underway with the first official estimate of crowd numbers for 2022.

An estimated 55,107 fans came through the gates on day one to soak up the atmosphere of the event and watch practice and qualifying for the support categories.

The Grand Prix is set to be electric, with a capacity crowd for Saturday and Sunday, with tickets selling fast for Friday.
