Nathan Herne takes first S5000 win in Tasman Series opener
Nathan Herne has taken his first victory in S5000 in the Tasman Series opener on the Gold Coast.

Herne stormed away from the grid and extended an unbeatable early lead to take his first victory after two years in the series.
Australian Drivers' Champion Joey Mawson settled into second, with Jordan Boys in third off the line.
Mawson set about on a late race charge but it wasn't enough to unseat Herne, who took the chequered flag with a 1.5 second lead.
Mawson and Boys finished as they started the first lap, with Mawson setting the fastest lap of 1:10.1042.
The S5000 Tasman Series resumes on Sunday with race two at 8am (AEDT) and race three at 10.55am.
