Doohan, Lawson, Armstrong, Williams front strong antipodean contingent at FIA Formula 2 test

Australia and New Zealand will be well-represented in the FIA Formula 2 post-season test at Yas Marina, with Jack Doohan, Liam Lawson, Marcus Armstrong and Calan Williams to all complete three days of running.

Drivers will complete two sessions each day on medium compound Pirelli tyres to prepare for the 2022 Formula 2 season.

Liam Lawson will test will Carlin alongside Williams Academy Driver Logan Sargeant, after finishing ninth in 2021 with Hitech Grand Prix.

Fellow kiwi Marcus Armstrong will move to Hitech after completing the 2021 season with French outfit DAMS.

UNI-Virtuosi will run Formula 3 vice-champion Jack Doohan, after confirming he will drive for them in 2022.

Meanwhile, Aussie Calan Williams also steps ups from FIA Formula 3 to complete the test with Trident.

The test runs 16-18 December in Abu Dhabi, with the 2022 Formula 2 season to resume in Bahrain on 18-20 March.
