Macrow started on pole position alongside Leeds and the drivers were alongside through turn one before Macrow took the lead with the inside line in turn two.

Nathan Herne went spearing off the track at turn one with a broken rear suspension, skidding through the grass and gravel before coming to rest against the fence.

Luis Leeds tucked under Macrow's rear wing at the restart but the battle was postponed when Joey Mawson lost control in turn one and found the barriers.

The time-certain race came to an end behind the safety car with just nine laps completed, with Macrow taking the race victory ahead of Leeds and James Golding in third.
