James Golding wins S5000 Sunday qualifying heat

James Golding has taken victory in the 16-lap Qualifying Heat 2 for the S5000 debut at Sandown, with John Martin setting a new track record of 64.553 seconds.

Golding took the lead after early leader Matt Brabham locked up and sent his car into the wall at Dandenong Road corner.

Tim Macrow was second, taking the overall qualifying points victory to earn pole for the Main Race.
