Formula Ford to support Winton Supercars round

The Australian Formula Ford Championship will race at the Winton Supercars round, as revealed with the release of the open-wheel category’s full 2019 calendar on Wednesday.

The Formula Ford series previously supported Supercars at Winton in 2017, before racing at the The Bend in 2018.

Held annually since 1970, the Australian Formula Ford championship provides the winner of the series with a golden ticket to enter the annual Mazda Road to Indy Scholarship Shootout, where national champions from around the world compete for a US$200,000 scholarship to race in the USF2000 Series the following season and a defined pathway to the Verizon Indycar Series.

Round 1: 6-7 April at Sydney Motorsport Park (NSW) (NSW State)  

Round 2: 4-5 May at Queensland Raceway (QLD) (Racers)

Round 3: 25-26 May at Winton (VIC) (Supercars)

Round 4: 22-23 June at The Bend (SA) (AMRS)

Round 5: 20-21 July at Sandown (VIC) (Vic State)

Round 6: 7-8 September at Wakefield (NSW) (NSW State)

Round 7: 28-29 September at Phillip Island (VIC) (Vic State)
