Formula 3 joins the Australian Motor Racing Series for 2019

Formula Three Management (F3M) today announced that the Australian open-wheel competition will join the Australian Motor Racing Series (AMRS) in 2019.

A spokesperson for F3M said “we are very excited to be extending our involvement with the AMRS next year and have already had a large amount of interest for the upcoming season. Our teams and drivers will enjoy even more exposure now with all races live streamed and featuring on television.”

The AMRS, which held its first season in 2018, is run by Benalla Auto Club, owners of Winton Motor Raceway and Wakefield Park. It is pitched as an alternative to the CAMS-run Shannons Nationals, and is home to some competitions that have been dropped from the CAMS circuit, including the Australian Formula Ford, V8 Utes, and Stadium Super Trucks.

The AMRS season will commence at Winton, 9-10 March 2019.
