Full entry list for S5000 Tasman Series
The full entry list for the S5000 Tasman Series has been locked in ahead of the series' return at Sydney Motorsport Park.
The grid includes current S5000 Australian Drivers' Champion Joey Mawson, former Gold Star winner Tim Macrow, and international entrants Roberto Merhi and Yoshiaki Katayama.
Current champion Mawson and the pair of internationals will race for Team BRM.
Aaron Cameron and Ben Barwanna will make their debuts in the category, racing alongside James Golding and Nathan Herne for Team Valvoline Garry Rogers Motorsport.
88 Racing will expand to a pair of cars, driven by Blake Purdie and Jordan Boys, while Luis Leeds returns with AGI Sport.
Tim Macrow returns for UCS Group Racing TMR, while new entrants Versa Motorsport will field young Victorian Cooper Webster.
Volante Rosso Racing were set to make their S5000 debut in Sydney, but will postpone their entry until 2022 due to Queensland's border restrictions.
Nick Percat will test for the team while regular driver Josh Hunt remains in the Sunshine State.
The 2021 Shannons S5000 Tasman Series will award $30,000 to the series winner, with a total prize pool of $50,000.
The champion will also be awarded the Tasman Cup, ratified by Motorsport Australia and Motorsport New Zealand.
The Sydney round will be broadcast live across Fox Sports, Kayo Sports, and the Seven network.
