AGI Sport “working towards” S5000 entry
Australian open-wheel stalwarts AGI Sport are “working towards” a S5000 entry and are “aiming” to field two cars for the series debut at Sandown, report Auto Action magazine.
“We are certainly aiming to run two cars at Sandown, and we would love to have a two-car team for next year so we are working towards that for sure,” said Founder and Team Principal Adam Gotch.
Rival crew Team BRM were the first to officially announce their entry, committing to a two-car squad for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Eggleston Motorsport today announced that they would also field at least one car in the new V8-powered open-wheel series.
AGI Sport supported drivers Luis Leeds and John Martin at the Phillip Island driver test and evaluation day earlier this week, but are yet to announce a S5000 entry.
