Sebastian Manson is the second Kiwi to win a race in the Toyota Formula Regional Oceania after dominating the reverse-grid sprint race at Hampton Downs.

Manson is the fourth different winner in five races, starting on the front row next to pole-sitter Nikita Johnson before Manson took the lead within the first lap.

The young Kiwi set about extending his lead and finished by more than two seconds ahead of Johnson.

"It feels great. I probably shouldn’t be that excited about a reverse-grid race but it does feel good,” said Manson.

"We were quite aggressive on strategy and the idea was to get ahead and maintain it through the race, so it’s great we were able to do so."

The crowd was entertained throughout with an intense battle for third between Aussie Patrick Heuzenroeder and championship rivals Arvid Lindblad and Will Brown.

The Australian, who has been a quiet achiever in the four races so far, was able to hold off any chance of victory for the pair of Red Bull drivers but left a tiny gap on lap 12 that allowed Lindblad to sneak past onto the final step of the podium.

The MTEC Motorsport driver held on for fourth ahead of Supercars champion Brown, who now takes a break from the series to begin his 2025 Supercars campaign.
