Robin Frijns fastest on first day of Formula E Valencia test
Robin Frijns topped the timesheets of day one of Formula E pre-season testing at Valencia.
The Envision Racing driver went fastest in session two as lap times fell throughout the day in improving conditions.
Stoffel Vandoorne was the first to set a lap time in the morning session, before Jean-Eric Vergne broke the 1:30 barrier at the Spanish circuit.
The ambient temperature rose during the session up to 17 degrees after the cool morning start.
With the temperature rising, Sam Bird put his Jaguar at the top on lap 36 of his stint with a time of 1:27.169.
Eduardo Mortara set the first competitive time of the second session, before Cassidy and Frijns traded laps to be quickest overall on day one.
Frijns set a time of 1:26.968 on lap 11 of his run, fastest of the day ahead of Vergne and Antonio Felix Da Costa.
