Race winner Aaron Cameron to contest S5000 Tasman Series title at Bathurst
Aaron Cameron will return to the S5000 Tasman Series to defend his lead of the championship.
The Victorian claimed the first round of the short season in Sydney after outclassing the field in difficult wet conditions.
His victory was made even sweeter by the fact it was his open-wheel racing debut.
Cameron had indicated that TCR Australia double-duties may complicate a return to the class, however he is now locked in to contest the prestigious Tasman Cup and $30,000 in prize money.
He leads the standings by 19 points ahead Roberto Merhi and Tim Macrow with just four races left to decide the inaugural series
