Trident seals off Paul Ricard Formula Regional European weekend with four points

Trident captured four points at Circuit Paul Ricard in the sixth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season. After ending up in the points two weeks ago at Mugello, Owen Tangavelou repeated himself in France, fighting back from P12 in qualifying to 8th overall in race 2.

The team's other two drivers, however, could not score points. After starting 14th in the opening race, Nikhil Bohra confirmed the same placing in the race, while on Sunday he was forced to retire due to contact with Lorenzo Fluxá. He was coming from 20th overall in qualifying 2.

Roman Bilinski, on the other hand, finished 20th in race 1 and 16th in race 2, respectively, after a double P18 in qualifying.

Back to Tangavelou he also could not secure points on Saturday, starting from P16 on the grid and finishing 15th in the race. However, he delivered on Sunday, with a convincing top 10 performance.

Nikhil Bohra

Race 1: 14th / Race 2: DNF / Championship Standings: 13th (21 points)

"I think this weekend the car was performing well, and we had the potential to be among the front runners, but I was not able to maximize, especially in qualifying."

Roman Bilinski

Race 1: 20th / Race 2: 16th / Championship Standings: 22nd (4 points)

"It was not an easy round for me because of the top speed in the straights which was a little penalizing. We should think about what happened in France and look with a positive attitude at the next round at the Red Bull Ring after the summer break."

Owen Tangavelou

Race 1: 15th / Race 2: 8th / Championship Standings: 21st (8 points)

"I found a good pace in race 1, but I was too far from the points zone to get into it. Having started further ahead in race 2, I was able to gain a few places and finish in P8. However, I’m looking forward to even better results.”
