Post-race track invasion to return at Australian Grand Prix
Fans will be allowed onto the track after the completion of the Australian Grand Prix after a one-year ban.

MELBOURNE–A fan favourite feature of the Australian Grand Prix will return this year as spectators will be allowed onto the track during podium celebrations.
The event was given a one-year ban after incidents over a number of years culminated in fans running onto the track during the final race of the 2023 event.
Organisers have promised that a range of measures will be used to control the crowd, including purpose-built barrier gates to allow controlled access to the track, increased track protection infrastructure and increased security.
“The track walk is a unique and cherished experience for our fans, and we are very excited to be able to welcome it back for 2025 and have this incredible moment shared around the world," said Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Travis Auld.
“There is nothing quite like seeing the passionate fans join in the celebration following the race and we can only hope that this year they’re celebrating an Aussie on the podium.”
