2019 Formula Renault Eurocup Champion Oscar Piastri is set to have an even bigger year in 2020.

After slogging it out through the hard-fought Formula Renault Eurocup, Piastri joins FIA Formula 3 champions Prema Racing, as well as the Renault Academy. Prema swept the inaugural FIA Formula 3 season, with their drivers finishing 1-2-3 in the championship.

So, the pressure will be on Piastri. Not only will he be expected to compete at the front, but on paper he will be the highest ranked Australian for 2020, out of a competitive field. He’s extremely close to an F1 drive, with Jack Aitken leaving the Renault queue ahead of him to become the Rokit Williams Racing reserve driver for 2020. Watch out for Oscar Piastri.
