JEDDAH–F1 Academy driver Nina Gademan has been released from hospital after a crash during testing at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia.

Gademan was conscious during the incident on Saturday, according to a statement from F1 Academy organisers, but was transferred to King Abdullah Medical Complex for precautionary checks.

A further statement released around twelve hours later confirmed the Alpine junior driver had been released from hospital.

The all-female series is completing three days of in-season testing in Saudi Arabia, the first of a total of fifteen days slated for the year.

Gademan, from the Netherlands, will not complete the test due to damage to her car, operated by PREMA Racing.

The series will return to Jeddah from 18-20 April for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
