Managing director of F1 Academy Susie Wolff says she has filed a criminal complaint in relation to statements made by the FIA as the governing body investigated her over an alleged conflict of interest.

The probe, which focused on information shared between Wolff and her husband, Mercedes-AMG F1 team boss Toto Wolff, was closed after just two days.

“I can confirm that I personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on the 4th of March in relation to the statements made about me by the FIA last December,” said Wolff on social media.

“There has still not been any transparency or accountability in relation to the conduct of the FIA and its personnel in this matter.”

“I feel more than ever it is important to stand up, call out improper behaviour and make sure people are held to account.”

“Whilst some may think silence absolves them from responsibility - it does not.”

The claims of misconduct were reported by British outlet BusinessF1, stating that multiple team bosses had raised concerns to the sport’s governing body.

The claim was that Wolff, a Formula One Management employee, had passed confidential information to her husband.

Both Mercedes and Susie Wolff denied any wrongdoing.

The two parties also stated they had not received any communication from the FIA regarding an investigation prior to the media report..

All nine other teams then issued an identical statement denying they had made a complaint, with the FIA forced into an embarrassing backdown.

The statement from Wolff comes on the same day the FIA Ethics Committee reportedly cleared President Mohammed Ben Sulayem of any wrongdoing over two separate allegations of interference in the sport.
