Maloney was given two three-place penalties, dropping him from fourth to tenth on the grid for the sprint race.

The stewards found that Maloney impeded both Théo Pourchaire and Jack Doohan during qualifying, receiving a penalty for each.

Enzo Fittipaldi moves into fourth on the grid, with Ollie Bearman, Jack Doohan, Ayumu Awasa, Victor Martins, and Roy Nissany all moving up in the reverse-grid order.

Dennis Hauger was found to have continued on a push lap through double waved yellow flags, receiving a five-place grid penalty and dropping from 14th to 19th on the grid.

Kush Maini joins the pair in falling down the order, with a five-place grid penalty carrying over from Austria.

The FIA Formula 2 sprint race is underway at 10.10pm Saturday (AEST).
