Day two of the event saw an estimated attendance of 122,927, the highest ever Friday attendance in Melbourne according to the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

The record is over 10,000 more than the previous record for Friday set last year, despite the inclement weather towards the end of the day.

Crowds were treated to Formula 1 practice, as well as Formula 2 and Formula 3 qualifying, with Supercars and Porsche Carrera Cup races completing the bill.
