Race Tasmania launched in Launceston, TV times and track schedule released

The opening round of the 2023 Shannons SpeedSeries has been launched at an event in Launceston.

Launceston Mayor Cr. Danny Gibson welcomed the series to Tasmania, with four top-level national categories to open competition for 2023 this weekend.

The mayor turned over local Lachie Dalton’s Trans Am entry to start proceedings, joined by a Garry Rogers Motorsport S5000 and Tassie icon John Bowe’s Holden Torana Touring Car Masters entry.

AWC Race Tasmania begins today with Saturday and Sunday’s action live on Stan Sport.

Three hours of Saturday running will also air on the Nine Network, on 9Go! in Sydney and 9Gem across the rest of the country.
