Ricciardo and team McLaren Racing have now both signed on the sponsor, with OKX joining the team in a multi-year deal just over three weeks ago.

The Australian will join ad campaigns "educating fans on cryptocurrency trading, as well as collaborating with designers from underrepresented communities to create a special edition racing helmet which will be worn during a race."

The partnership will last at least two years through the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

"It is an exciting time in the world of crypto, the possibilities are endless," said Ricciardo.

"The fan experience is going to be at the centre of everything we do together, so expect big things from us this year."

OKX claims more than 20 million users in over 180 international markets, and joins Ricciardo's existing partners Optus, AWS, Youfoodz, Afterpay, carsales, GoPro, Beats, EA Sports, Thorne, Blue Coast brewery and St Hugo wine.

"We are thrilled to be able to announce our long-term partnership ahead of the iconic Monaco Grand Prix, a race that is so special to Daniel," said Haider Rafique, Chief Marketing Officer at OKX.
