Mario Andretti confirms Renault as supplier for proposed F1 team

Mario Andretti has confirmed that plans are well underway for the proposed Andretti Formula 1 team, including a formal agreement with Renault for engine supply.

Speaking to David Land at the Indycar Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Andretti said "we have incredible partners on our side…"

“I've been at it for 67 years now and we know what goes on, on all sides of the Atlantic."

Andretti was the first to announce that son Michael had applied to field a new F1 team from 2024 onwards.

Andretti also confirmed that the team will be based in the UK, with planning for a team base already underway.
