Hugh Barter claims Spanish F4 runner-up status
Hugh Barter has secured the runner-up spot in the Spanish F4 standings at the season finale in Barcelona.
Teammate and champion Nikola Tsolov took out top honours in all three races, while Barter edged out his rivals to secure enough points for the vice championship.
The Australian qualified third for the weekend opener but fell to fifth on the opening lap and was unable to improve his position by the chequered flag.
The Japanese-Australian started second in race two behind Tsolov and the pair held a steady lead throughout the race.
The season finale saw more action, with Barter moving up to fourth after a double overtake on lap three.
The race ended a lap early under safety car conditions after a dramatic crash between Timoteusz Kucharczyk and Noah Strømsted which flipped Strømsted's Campos.
Campos Racing took home full honours, with Tsolov finishing his victory lap as both champion and rookie champion, with Barter as Vice-Champion, and Campos in hold of the Teams' title.
