FIA Formula 3 finale brought forward to avoid wet Sochi Saturday
Organisers have brought forward the opening race of the FIA Formula 3 weekend at Sochi to avoid the inclement weather threatening track time on Saturday.

Race one was originally scheduled for 8.35 am local time on Saturday, but will instead take place this evening at 5.25pm (00.25 am Saturday AEST).
Formula Motorsport said in a short statement "due to the uncertain weather forecast, the decision was made to bring it forward by one day."
Aussie Jack Doohan took pole position and will start the reverse-grid race in twelfth.
He is forty-three points behind leader Dennis Hauger in the championship standings.
