Van Amersfoort racing to join FIA Formula 2

Dutch team Van Amersfoort Racing will take over HWA RACELAB’s FIA Formula 2 entry from 2022.

The team will make its debut in the post-season test, scheduled for 16-18 December at the Yas Marina Circuit.

VAR had earlier announced they would join the FIA Formula 3 grid next year.

“I am very pleased to welcome Van Amersfoort Racing to the Championship,” said Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel.

“I am certain that they will be a great addition to our grid, with them also competing in Formula 3 from next year.”
