Brabham set the tenth-fastest time of the Chris Griffis Memorial Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, completing 99 laps.

The Australian last raced in Indy Lights in 2015, until hitting pause on his Road To Indy career.

Speaking after the test, Brabham provided more details on his return.

"It’s awesome to be back," he said.

"It’s definitely been a long time since I’ve been back in a Lights car."

"It’s a little weird coming back."

The Australian said the IMS test came about after an invitation from Andretti Autosport.

"Thank you to Andretti Autosport for throwing me in this weekend."

"I’m having a blast."

"I’m just taking my time getting up to speed, especially with the weather."

"I’m loving it.”

Brabham won the USF2000 championship in 2012 and the Indy pro 2000 title in 2013.

He then moved up to Indy Lights in 2014, finishing fourth in the series, before leaving to sample a plethora of other motorsport series.

Brabham raced in Formula E, Supercars, and sports cars before landing in Robby Gordon's Stadium Super Trucks, winning the championship three times in a row in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

The 27 year-old has made two starts in the NTT IndyCar series, both in 2016.

Brabham says his goal is to return to Indy Lights to build a solid foundation for an IndyCar bid.

"I think not so much the INDYCAR stuff, probably more so realistic is the Indy Light stuff."

"The goal is to just get back into it full time and work away at getting back in there."

"[IndyCar] is still my ultimate goal."

"I’d love to be back racing IndyCar, and this is obviously a great way to do it, especially with a lot of stuff changing next year."

"I’m excited to see how it all plays out, and hopefully I’m all a part of it."

"Obviously, that’s the end goal is the IndyCar stuff, and this is all part of it too."

"It’s great to be back driving something that’s similar."
