Dutch driver Joey Alders has won the 2019-20 F3 Asian Championship, certified by FIA, ahead of rival Jack Doohan.

Aussie Jack Doohan mounted a formidable challenge for the series title, sweeping the Sepang round and reducing the gap to Alders to just 36 points.

Doohan was leading Race 1 at Buriram when disaster struck, and a puncture forced him to the rear of the field. Read more here.

As the title holder, Alders will take home 18 FIA Super License points.

The remaining positions will be decided in Race 3, later on Sunday evening.
