Formula Renault Eurocup to waive entry fee for female drivers

Renault Sport have announced that they will provide several incentives to attract new drivers to the 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup, including waiving entry fees for female drivers.

The announcement comes alongside the unveiling of the 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup calendar, with the series to adding the Dutch circuit of Zandvoort for the first time since 2000.

Renault Sport will also invite the 2020 championship winner to join the Renault Sport Academy.

It follows the 2019 debut of the all-women W Series, designed to promote women into the highest levels of motorsport.

The W Series was free to enter and rewarded all 2019 drivers with a share of the $1.5 million prize pool.

Australian Oscar Piastri currently leads the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup championship.
