Australian Formula Ford begins '50th anniversary' Championship season in Sydney

The Australian Formula Ford season starts here

The Australian Formula Ford Championship commences it’s 50 Anniversary season this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park, with 26 cars to contest the opening round event.

The field is set to be dotted with famous names, with Hank Perkins, nephew of Larry Perkins, entering the Duratec class, and Ben Bargwanna, son of Bathurst 1000 winner Jason Bargwanna, entering the National Championship.

Jay Hanson is touted as a name to watch in this year’s Championship, after winning on debut at Magic Island in 2018, and a stellar karting CV.

Qualifying and race one are scheduled for Saturday, with a further two races on Sunday.
