The Visa CashApp RB driver will take a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H, MGU-K, and exhaust system after qualifying just 18th for his home grand prix.

All of the elements were replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate and there will be no penalty for Ricciardo.

Meanwhile, Stake F1 Team driver Zhou Guanyu will start from the pit lane after a change to the front wing and nose assembly on his car to a different specification.

Guanyu had qualified 19th and last on the grid after Williams withdrew Logan Sargeant from the event due to a parts shortage.

The Chinese driver will now start from pit lane, with no net change to his starting position.

Max Verstappen will start on pole ahead of Carlos Sainz with the Australian Grand Prix underway from 3pm Sunday (AEDT).
