Joey Mawson tops S5000 Bathurst practice as two-minute barrier looms
Joey Mawson has set the fastest lap in two practice sessions as the S5000 Tasman Series takes on Bathurst.

Mawson set a lap time of 2:00.870 in the second session after trading fastest laps with James Golding in the improving conditions.
Golding was just 0.4s behind Mawson, with series leader Aaron Cameron in third by just 0.02 seconds.
Spaniard Roberto Merhi had earlier topped the first practice session with a time of 2:04.035, before brining the session to an end when he hit the wall at McPhillamy Park, damaging his right side and gearbox.
The Form 700/Alabar driver didn't take part in the second session while Team BRM rebuilt his car.
The Shannons S5000 Tasman Series returns at 12:15pm on Wednesday for qualifying.
