Grid penalty for James Wharton after collision with Formula 3 teammate
The Aussie rookie was found to be at fault for the collision with his teammate Laurens van Hoepen and Trident driver Rafael Câmara.

MELBOURNE–Australian rookie James Wharton will receive a five-place grid penalty for the FIA Formula 3 feature race in Melbourne after being judged to be at fault in a collision with his teammate.
The FIA stewards found that the ART Grand Prix driver locked up into turn 11 on the second lap of the sprint race on Saturday, colliding with Trident driver Rafael Câmara who then hit Wharton's teammate Laurens van Hoepen.
Wharton was awarded a 10-second penalty, which converts into a five-place grid drop as he did not complete the sprint race, as well as two demerit points against his license.
Joshua Dufek also received a 10-second penalty and two demerits for his collision with Louis Sharp.
Meanwhile, MP Motorsport driver Alessandro Giusti had his penalty repealed for overtaking behind the safety car, after the team filed a right of review application.
The team argued that the overtake on Ugo Ugochukwu was underway at the beginning of the safety car period, and that Giusti had given the place back once he saw the safety car had been called.
The stewards agreed and the penalty was rescinded.
