Full grids for 2024 Formula Regional Middle East, Formula 4 UAE as calendar announced
The 2024 edition of the Formula Regional Middle East Championship is already fully-subscribed, according to series promoters who announced the schedule alongside that of the Formula 4 United Arab Emirates series.
The second season of the already popular championship will begin with a two-day test at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit from January 10, 2024, and run for six-weeks to the finale at Dubai Autodrome on February 16-18.
Fifteen races will be held across two circuits, with five rounds of three races apiece for driver 16 years or older.
The first two rounds, in mid-January, will take place at Yas Marina, before a trip to Dubai Autodrome, a return to Yas Marina, and then the finale in Dubai, on back-to-back race weekends beginning on January 12-14.
The top nine drivers will earn FIA Super Licence points, necessary for those on the road to Formula One, again managed by Top Speed with series sponsorship from Giti Tires.
“The series made the Middle East the focal point of international single seater competition, and proved a powerful inspiration to the burgeoning local motorsport industry,” said Top Speed general manager Davide De Gobbi.
“We will continue to build on this success in 2024, and look forward to setting ever-higher benchmarks in organizational and competitive excellence.”
The Formula Regional Series will run in tandem with the Formula 4 UAE championship, which will once again begin with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Trophy Race in support of the Formula 1 season finale.
The five rounds of the F4 series will then follow the FR Middle East to Yas Marina and Dubai Autodrome throughout January and February.
