FR Oceania race two at Teretonga abandoned due to wet conditions
It is not clear if the race will be rescheduled on Sunday with similar conditions forecast to continue.
INVERCARGILL, New Zealand–Heavy rain led to the abandonment of race two of the Toyota Formula Regional Oceania series at Teretonga Park.
"Due to the rain, Motorsport New Zealand officials have decided track conditions were simply not safe enough to warrant an even start under the safety car so CTFROT Race 2 has not commenced," read a statement from organisers.
"Further updates to come."
It is not clear if the race will be held on Sunday, with similar conditions again forecast for the Invercargill area.
The Toyota FR Oceania calendar was also compressed this year, adding a fourth race to each weekend, which further complicates scheduling challenges.
