LONDON–The FIA Formula E world championship will get the Drive to Survive treatment with a new docuseries to be released on Amazon Prime Video.

The new series Formula E: Driver, premiering May 2, will follow four of the top names from the all-electric open wheel series through the 2023-24 season: Antonio Felix da Costa, Mitch Evans, Jake Dennis, and Dan Ticktum.

"Through Formula E: Driver, we offer new and existing fans a raw, authentic and unfiltered look into the compelling narratives of four of our incredible drivers as they compete in the world’s fastest-accelerating motorsport," said Aarti Dabas, chief media officer of Formula E.

"This series reveals the human stories behind the helmets of our hugely talented drivers that reach far beyond the sporting action on track. We’re excited to bring this no-holds-barred, access-all-areas perspective to a global audience on Prime Video."

The season saw a three-way battle for the title, with Kiwi Mitch Evans in the lead trio alongside countryman Nick Cassidy, and German Pascal Wehrlein, who ultimately claimed the championship.

"The launch of Formula E: Driver is really exciting and hopefully the series will bring a new, unique insight into the world of Formula E," said Dennis.

"It was great to work with Astronaut Films and the Formula E team on this new venture, which we hope will allow fans to see just what it takes to compete in the world’s most competitive motorsport, and enable our sport to grow and reach a much wider audience."
