Euroformula Open and British F4 wrapping up closely-fought seasons this weekend
Welcome to your Weekend Preview for 12-13 October. Here’s your look at the Aussies and Kiwis who are competing around the world this weekend.
Kiwi Liam Lawson is in the hunt for the Euroformula Open Rookie title at the final round in Monza, as well as runner-up in the overall championship. Read our full preview here.
Aussie Bart Horsten leads the battle for fifth in the British F4 Championship, as the top four are locked in a battle for the driver’s championship. Just 20 points separates Horsten, Carter Williams, and Luke Browning, who have all won at least once this year and will all be aiming to repeat their form this weekend.
Horsten was mathematically eliminated from the championship last time out after a mechanical failure saw him fail to finish race 1 at Silverstone. His recovery drive throughout the weekend paid off, with a second-place finish in race three.
He said: “Things went my way in Race 3 as after I had a good first lap to get up to 4th, the two in front of me made contact as I was closing in. This gave me 2nd place and my first podium in far too long!”
