Brad Pitt to shoot F1 movie on-track from British Grand Prix onwards
Brad Pitt will drive on track during the British Grand Prix weekend as production ramps up for Joseph Kosinski's Formula 1 movie.
The Top Gun: Maverick director was joined on-stage by producer Jerry Bruckheimer at the F1 Accelerate Summit in Miami where they sheared details of the upcoming Apple Studios movie.
According to panel moderator Will Buxton, the production crew are "creating an 11th team and filming on track and on event from Silverstone to the end of the year."
A car designed by the Mercedes F1 team will feature the world's "smallest moveable 6k camera" to shoot onboard during race weekends, with Kosinski aiming for "the most accurate, most impressive, race movie anyone has ever seen."
A modified Formula 2 car has been spotted testing at Silverstone in the past weeks, which will be the vehicle used by Pitt on-track.
Lewis Hamilton is a producer on the film, where Brad Pitt stars "as a driver who comes out of retirement to compete alongside a rookie driver against the titans of the sport."
