Bart Horsten in British F3 evaluation day with George Russell
Australian Bart Horsten has taken part in a driver evaluation day, supervised by F1 driver George Russell and run by the Lanan Racing BRDC British F3 team, as part of their preparations for the 2020 season.
Horsten, who finished fifth overall in British F4 in 2019 said: “It’s been pretty awesome!”
“It’s an amazing car and engine and so different to what I’ve driven, and it was a great experience. I’m so thankful to Graham Johnson and Lanan for giving me this opportunity. It was quite a day to meet someone like George Russell and it’s been a day to remember.”
ROKiT Williams Racing driver George Russell said: “It’s been great to see the Lanan boys again and see what’s going on in the F3 paddock.”
“It only feels like yesterday that I was last here! I stay in touch with Graham and the other guys even now, and I was fortunate to be in the championship with Lanan to clinch the title with them. It’s been great to be here today with the drivers and see what may be happening on the F3 grid next year, this is where it all starts for them!”
Team Principal Graham Johnson said: “It’s been a great day, all three of the drivers have done a brilliant job.”
“It was great of George to take the time out of his massively busy schedule to come and see the boys, it was really nice. We can’t wait to get going in 2020, I think we’ll be in good shape!”
