Australian Formula Ford at Sandown officially cancelled due to COVID outbreak
The Australian Formula Ford national championship round at Sandown has been cancelled.
As hinted earlier in the week, to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak on Australia's east coast, organisers have made the decision to revoke the national status of the Sandown event.
The event will go ahead on July 23-25 as a round of the 2021 Victorian Formula Ford Championship.
Championship organisers have commited to rescheduling the round to maintain a seven-outing schedule for the 2021 national championship.
All interstate competitors will be eligible for a refund of entry and garage fees.
Organisers have also flagged that the Queensland Raceway round, due to take place August 6-8, may also be impacted by COVID restrictions and border closures.
