Aussies headline thirty-car grid for UAE Formula 4
Ten teams and a massive field of thirty drivers have been announced in the first entry list for the 2023 Formula 4 UAE championship.
Australians James Wharton, Noah Lisle and Jimmy Piszcyk will take on the series which begins 13-14 January in Dubai.
PREMA Racing (Italy), Mumbai Falcons (India), Hitech Grand Prix (UK), PHM Racing (Germany), R-Ace GP (France), SANTéLOC Racing (France), CRAM Hitech GP (Italy), Xcel Motorsport (UAE), R2Race (UAE), Carlin (UK), MP Motorsport (Netherlands), and Pinnacle Motorsport (Ireland) will make up the grid in 2023 for the fully-subscribed series, with 30 drivers entered representing 18 different countries.
James Wharton scored four wins in the 2022 series and moves to the Mumbai Falcons for a stint at the title, with technical assistance to be provided by his former team PREMA.
Jimmy Piszcyk will take to the track with Hitech GP as part of a year-long campaign with the team, while Noah Lisle will race with Emirati locals Xcel Motorsport.
More driver announcements are expected in the coming weeks with Carlin, MP Motorsport, and Pinnacle all yet to announce their squads.
The 2023 Formula 4 UAE championship begins 13-14 January.
