AU3 Championship to start in Goulburn after freight delays
Delays in shipping Toyota Formula Regional Oceania cars from NZ have delayed the new series.

MELBOURNE—The opening round of a new Formula Regional-level series set to begin in Australia has been postponed after freight delays.
The AU3 Championship was due to commence at Phillip Island in coming weeks, with organisers blaming shipping and customs delays as the series welcomes cars from the Toyota Formula Regional Oceania series, based in New Zealand.
“These delays have significantly impacted the timely delivery and setup of cars, as well as the essential testing time required for drivers ahead of the championship's commencement,” read a statement from organisers.
“We prioritise the professionalism and safety of our teams and drivers,” said series organiser Tim Macrow.

“It is crucial that drivers have ample testing time to familiarise themselves with the cars and ensure they are fully prepared for the competition.”
“The field is highly competitive, featuring drivers from across the globe, and we aim to provide them with every opportunity to perform at their best.”
Round 1 will now commence at One Raceway in Goulburn on June 27- 29, with additional offical testing sessions to be scheduled in the week before the event.
