Arvid Lindblad took his second feature race in a row to consolidate his lead of the Toyota FR Oceania at Hampton Downs.

The British Red Bull Junior was unbeatable in qualifying as lap times fell in the flying final minutes, and continued his form from pole position, with a perfect start to hold off any challenge from Kiwi Zack Scoular.

Lindblad held a consistent gap ahead of Scoular to take out the Dorothy Smith Memorial Trophy and take a lap record time, with American Josh Pierson completing the podium.

"The start was a bit difficult and it was a bit hairy in turn one," said the M2 competition driver.

"The first two laps were tricky but I then settled into a nice rhythm and started to build the gap. It wasn’t easy as the gap was small and any mistake I made would have let Zack in. So it was pretty tough."

"I’m here to win to races though, so I’m happy with the result."

Josh Pierson held third place off the start but was soon under pressure from Will Brown, who made the pass stick on his second attempt, setting his sights on Scoular in second.

Brown lost control in turn one to start lap 11, recovering quickly but falling to eighth. Despite a battle with regular rival Michael Shin, the Supercars champion was unable to improve by the chequered flag.

Lindblad leads the series on 164 points ahead of Zack Scoular on 139 points and Nikita Johnson on 116 points. Aussie Heuzenroeder is seventh on 102 points.

The Toyota Formula Regional Oceania series returns next weekend at Manfeild, with Aussie stalwart Tommy Smith subbing in for Will Brown.
