Another crowd record falls at the Australian Grand Prix

The Australian Grand Prix has broken attendance records for a second day in a row.

Day three of the event saw 129,748 people through the gates, the highest ever Saturday attendance in Melbourne.

The crowd was more than 6,000 over than the previous Saturday record set in 2022.

Audiences on Saturday were treated to Formula 1 qualifying, and the Formula 2 and Formula 3 sprint races in changing conditions, with showers before the Formula 3 session.

The cumulative attendance for the 2023 event is 313,507 so far.
