The total attendance for the 2026 Formula One Australian Grand Prix was 483,934, the highest attendance ever in Melbourne.

Travis Auld, CEO of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC), told Raceweek in 2025 that the circuit was reaching capacity, pending future infrastructure changes at and around the Albert Park precinct.

The opening of Melbourne's Metro Tunnel, with a station adjacent to the precinct, and a new pedestrian bridge and floating walkway added to the ability of organisers to move crowds for a bigger attendance, as forecast by AGPC chief events officer Tom Mottram.

While the total attendance was up, the crowd on Grand Prix Sunday was 137,869, the second-highest Sunday on record.
