Thomas Sargent continues dominant Formula Ford season with Winton victory
Thomas Sargent has continued his dominant run in Australian Formula Ford with victory in race one at Winton.
Having won all but one race so far in the interrupted season, the Victorian Formula Ford champion started on pole and lead away cleanly at the start of the first race in six months.
"We had a really good race one, taking the win," said Sargent.
"Always good to bag some more championship points."
The chasing pack had opportunities to catch Sargent with two safety car periods bringing the field together, but Sargent held steady and took the chequered flag ahead of Cameron McLeod and Harrison Goodman.
"The race was pretty interrupted, with a couple of safety cars, but we managed to hold them off on the restart and grab the win at the end."
"Looking forward to the rest of the weekend, looking like its going to be a bit wet, but pretty excited for the rest of it."
