Hamda Al Qubaisi suffers broken arm in F4 UAE crash
Emirati driver Hamda Al Qubaisi was hospitalised with a broken arm following a last-lap incident in the Formula 4 UAE season finale.
The race was red-flagged when Frederico Rifai spun out into turn five and was collected by Al Qubaisi, who was not able to avoid his stricken car.
Hamda’s father Khaled Al Qubaisi posted the update on Instagram.
“Really unfortunate in the last lap of the season for Hamda.”
“No way to avoid the spinning car and ended up hitting the wall, with steering wheel breaking her arm unfortunately.”
“She is ok now with some pain, surgery on Tuesday and full focus on a speedy recovery.”
”Proud of her performance in the last two races gaining six positions in each race.”
“We take the positives after a very difficult season where she wasn’t able to show her real potential.”
Al Qubaisi appeared in good spirits, joking with doctors in a video posted to Instagram.
